Drang-Drung Glacier (also Drang Drung) is a large mountain glacier in the Zanskar Range of Ladakh, India, near the Pensi La pass; its length is commonly cited at around 23 km, making it one of the larger glaciers in the Indian Himalaya outside the main Tibetan plateau. Like other Himalayan glaciers, Drang-Drung shows signs of retreat and thinning in recent decades. Local observations and satellite imagery indicate recession of the snout and reduction in area, primarily due to rising summer temperatures and changes in snowfall patterns.
